The Disney Bakery
As the sweet aroma of freshly baked treats fills the air, our dramatic play center has been magically transformed into a Disney Bakery. I included the Melissa & Doug mixer, baking set, ice cream, and frozen treats in the play area. Imagination takes flight as young bakers take their customer’s orders and whip up delicious waffles, cupcakes, and much more. The enticing sight of cotton candy and the heavenly taste of creamy ice cream further transport our campers into the whimsical world of Disney.
The Disney Library
A Journey through Beloved Tales: For those seeking an escape into the world of imagination, our Disney Library is a treasure trove of beloved stories. Piled high with enchanting Disney books, campers can curl up in cozy corners and embark on adventures alongside their favorite characters. From classic tales like Cinderella and Peter Pan to modern masterpieces like Raya & the Last Dragon and Frozen, the magic of reading takes center stage.
The Art Station
Unleashing Creativity and Imagination: In our art station, young artists bring their visions to life using a kaleidoscope of colors and materials. Inspired by Disney’s timeless characters, campers create stunning masterpieces, painting the skies with imagination and letting their creativity soar. With brushes, crayons, and glitter galore, this corner of our Disney Kingdom is a hub of endless artistic possibilities. I love utilizing these rainbow rolling carts as an art station where the students can select the materials they want to use for their artwork!
The Imagineer Station
Building Dreams from Scratch: At our Imagineer Station, future inventors, and architects taste what it’s like to bring Disney magic to life. Armed with building materials and open-ended creating materials, campers design their attractions, construct their roller coasters, and dream up new lands inspired by the Disney universe. Here, there are no limits to their ingenuity, and their imaginations can take them anywhere. Some of the materials I included in the Imagineer Station were: wooden stacking blocks, wooden city construction set, sorting and stacking toys, magnetic construction sticks, and Mickey Mouse nesting blocks.
The Virtual Experience
Riding Alongside Mickey Mouse: With the help of advanced technology, our campers get the opportunity of a lifetime—an immersive virtual experience of riding alongside Mickey Mouse through some of the iconic Disney attractions. A true Disney-themed summer camp wouldn’t be complete without experiencing some rides, so we brought the rides to our students.
The Writing Center
Penning Letters to Disney Characters: In our Writing Center, campers put pen to paper using the Disney Princess Wooden Stamp set to pour out their hearts in letters to their beloved Disney characters. From heartfelt expressions of gratitude to imaginative tales of their own adventures, these letters serve as cherished keepsakes and a direct line to the magic of Disney. Who knows? They might just receive a reply straight from their favorite character!
The transformation of our classroom into a Disney-themed summer camp has ignited the imaginations of our summer campers, whisking them away on a magical journey like no other.
