Organization Essentials
- Teacher Planner: A good teacher planner is a must-have for staying organized throughout the year. You can find beautifully designed ones that cater specifically to educators. They help you keep track of lessons, meetings, and important dates. If you’re like me, I love using a digital teacher planner so that I can access my lessons or write down any ideas wherever I go.
- Label Maker: Invest in a label maker to keep your classroom tidy and efficient. Labeling bins, supplies, and student belongings has never been easier. It’s a game-changer for keeping everything in order.
- Multi-Drawer Storage Cart: These 10-drawer carts are perfect for organizing art supplies, manipulatives, and more. With multiple drawers, you can keep things neatly sorted and easily accessible. I have 3 of these in my classroom and I use each one for different things. One is an art cart so my students can grab the items they need, the second one is a home for my student’s papers or items when they complete it, and the last one is by my desk where I keep papers, stickers, etc.
Toys and Teaching Aids
- Magnet Tiles: These magnet tiles are a hit in my classroom. My students love to use them to build towers, homes for little toy animals, and so much more! They are perfect to use for STEM activities and as a foundational building center to keep year-round.
- Baking and Mixer Set: The baking and mixer set from Melissa and Doug is absolutely amazing at providing a real-life baking experience for my kiddos. It comes with everything need to play bake and can be used to bake cookies, cupcakes, cakes, you name it! I love that it truly is a mini version of baking necessities!
- Do-A-Dot Markers: I can’t say enough about how much I love these Do-A-Dot Art markers and how often I use them in my classroom. They are versatile in the way that they are designed for little hands, are easy to clean up, and can be used for a variety of projects.
Self-Care Treats
- Aromatherapy Diffuser: Wind down after a long day with an aromatherapy diffuser. Essential oils like lavender can help you relax and destress, promoting a calm and peaceful environment. I use a diffuser in my classroom and use it every day! I love to pick new scents and when people walk in and tell me how good it smells! The essential oils I use are from Eternal Essence and they have amazing variety packs.
- Cozy Slippers: After a day on your feet, treat yourself to some comfy slippers. Your tired feet will thank you! I have to wear slippers on my feet when I’m at home, and it makes it even better when they look cute and are so comfortable!
- Coffee Warmer: A must-have in my classroom has become my coffee warmer. The colder weather has started and I have been making a cup of coffee every day. The cute coffee warmer I have is great at keeping my coffee warm throughout the day. Plus, it looks adorable with my pink Santa mug!
Style and Personal Touches
- Teacher Tote Bag: A stylish and practical tote bag specifically designed for teachers can be a great way to carry your materials in style. I got this pink tote bag from Amazon and it is perfect! It has a bunch of compartments, laptop sleeve, and is large enough for me to fit all the things inside. You can even use it for traveling. It has that strap on the back for you to put it on top of a suitcase.
- Stainless Steel Water Bottle: Add a personal touch to your stainless steel water bottle by having your students draw on it. I got this white one and had my kids use Sharpie to color on it and it turned out to be the cutest teacher keepsake!
- Two-Piece Long Sleeve Outfit: I purchased this two-piece outfit for one of our pajama days and it has become one of my favorite comfy outfits! I wore it for my Halloween costume as a deer, you can add a cute vest with it to spice it up or just wear it as is!
These ultimate holiday finds for preschool teachers are not only practical but also thoughtful. They’ll help you stay organized, create a more engaging learning environment for your little ones, and ensure you’re taking care of yourself too. Teaching can be challenging, but it’s also incredibly rewarding, so don’t forget to treat yourself this holiday season. Happy teaching and happy holidays! 🍎🎁
